Anjeni was trying hard to get ready; as getting ready so quickly was not easy. She desperately felt like having a change because she was also sick of being by herself all this while. She quickly changed and sat in front of the dressing table. It was more than a month she was not out. As if after Sani's murder her life became still. She used to go out often with Sani for shopping, for dinner or just for outing. As she thought of Sani, gloominess crept over her face. Suddenly the doorbell rang; She felt her heart beating very wild. She rushed to the door, opened it. John was standing in front of her.
" Ready?" he asked without coming in.
" Almost.." She responded taking him in.
She closed the door, asked him to sit in the hall and went in to finish up her remaining preparation.
John sat alone for a while and then got up observing the paintings hung on the wall. When he reached the window, again he saw the circular lake outside. He did see it when he had come for the investigation earlier. At that time he had so many questions and doubts about the lake, but unanswered that time.
" This lake is natural or artificial?" he asked loudly so that Anjeni could hear.
" I am coming ... Just a minute..."Anjeni’s loud response came from in.
Hearing her unexpected reply he just smiled.
After a while Anjeni, dressed beautifully in stunning clothes, was in front of him. He had never seen her in such a stunning appearance.
" You are looking so gorgeous" John complimented.
" What were you saying when I was in?" She blushed and tried to change the topic.
" I was asking whether this lake outside is natural or artificial?" he went to the window.
" It is natural... thousands years ago an asteroid fell down... and this lake got formed" Anjeni told, joining him to the window.
" That's why it's so perfect" John said.
" Ok then, shall we move" John came out of his absorbed state.
Anjeni looked at him affirmatively and they walked off.
